John Alfred Hoke, his wife, Evelyn, and two sons John Clyde and Rufus Stern, moved from the Oneonta/Springfield area of upstate New York between 1865 and 1875 down to the Macon, Georgia area. I am wondering what was the reason for the move.
Also, are there any Hokes or relatives of the Hokes still left in the Upstate New York (Otsego county) area?
