Description
Located in the mountains and valleys of east Tennessee, southwest Virginia, and northern Georgia, in the United States of America, the Holston Conference is named after the Holston River.[1]
The Holston Annual Conference of the Methodist Episocopal Church (South) produced an Official Record each year. The Record included memoirs for prominent church members who passed during the previous year. The memoirs provided a biographical sketch and typically included genealogical data. The Record also listed deaths of members and where they were buried.
The online editions of the Official Record prior to 1923 are in the public domain, i.e., not protected by copyright, and have been produced by the Emory University Digital Library Publications Program, and are available on archive.org.
