We don't know exactly where Henry DeVillers Holten was killed or buried. My grandfather stated that he was scalped by Indian in Kansas, The exact date is unknown although I believe it was 1878 during the Indian Raids. It is said that his body was brought back to Ohio but we can't find any information on that. It is also said that he was identified by family members identifying his ring and watch.
