About the Project

The Honeycutt Name Study project serves as a collaborative platform to collect information on the Honeycutt name. The hope is that other researchers like you will join the study to help make it a valuable reference point for other genealogists who are researching or have an interest in the Honeycutt name.

As a One Name Study, this project is not limited to persons who are related biologically. Individual studies can be used to branch out the research into specific methods and areas of interest, such as geographically (England Honeycutts), by time period (18th Century Honeycutts), or by topic (Honeycutt DNA, Honeycutt Occupations, Honeycutt Statistics). These studies may also include a number of family branches which have no immediate link with each other. Some researchers may even be motivated to go beyond the profile identification and research stage to compile fully sourced, single-family histories of some of the families they discover through this name study project.

Hi Linda, thanks for starting thisname study. I am a grand daughter of Charles Warren Roach and Bertie Hunnicutt. I am working on getting Hunnicutts profiled under the spelling that they actually used. And trying to track down duplicates under various spellings. I really don't know wha a surname study does but I would like to help. I would like to see Augustine Hunnicutt and Mary Carter desendants under the spelling he used. And see them change over to the other spellings at the proper time. It seems everyone uses the spelling of the Huneycutt, Honeycut or Hunnicutt that is in their own family. I'd ike us all to work toward getting the correct spelling on people. No matter what the spelling is. The one they used. Again thanks. Trudy

I would do this, but the privacy is set too high.
