This page is part of the Global Cemeteries Project.

One of the goals of the Global Cemeteries Project is to have a free space page for every cemetery across the world.

Each page should have a photograph of the cemetery entrance, the address of the cemetery and GPS coordinates, the number of graves, the date range of the graves, notable people buried in the cemetery (links to their profiles), and the cemetery category link and place name category.

These pages should not contain photographs of every single grave as these photographs should be on the profiles of the individuals in the graves. If the work is in progress they should be on the progress pages of the team that is working on them.

Here is an example of what a Cemetery page will look like:

Shenleybury Churchyard

If you need to create a new free space page for a cemetery, go to Add/New Thing and put the cemetery name in the title. Add the county, state, province, or territory tag and the cemeteries tag, and begin adding the information.

Do ask if you have any questions, and thank you for your contributions!

Hi Darren, When I created the Freespace page for Jamestown Cemetery, Jamestown, South Australia, I incorrectly added Cememtery instead of Jamestown Cemetery, so it became Cemetery-4. When I edited it by adding the correct name, the title on the page is correct, but the Link on the Category page & any change I make is Cemetery-4. I just can't work out how to correct it without deleting it (?) & starting again, I'd appreciate some advice. thanks so much, Eileen
