I am researching any connections that my maternal gggrandmother was Cherokee as its told, I cannot get past her to verify that she was indeed Native American. Any possible connections are considered. They worked in the Turpentine industry.

I have a Grace Emanuel Jackson who married in 1911 John Jordan Aspinwall in Patterson, Pierce County Georgia. I have no other info than that and word of mouth she was Cherokee. Several older generations have described her with straight dark hair and gray eyes. My son Kyden has Gray eyes as well, odd trait. I'm guessing she came from NC with family following the turpentine movement.
