The Townlands of Island Magee Civil Parish
- The townlands in Island Magee Parish (Oileán Mhic Aodha, Islandmagee) are those taken from Island Magee Parish on Logainm.ie and validated against townlands on the 1851, 1871 and 1901 Lists of Towns and Townlands and Griffiths valuations data. A link is provided in the notes for the 1901 and 1911 census. Please note that these may not always work if the townland was not available on the census in question. The census site may also substitute a similar name so be prepared for unexpected results! Similar for Griffith's valuation links which may show multiple names.
One Place Studies for/in Island Magee Civil Parish
Islandmagee DNA Group Project
- The aim of the project is to explore the connections between people who are the descendants of those who lived in the historic North of Ireland parish of Islandmagee in County Antrim, which has strong Scottish and English connections and a number of families that have lived in the district for generations. By testing people with known connections to the original families we will be able to confirm connections going back many generations, in many instances going beyond paper records. More details on the Project page.
