Council Journal 29, p. 13, Meeting of February 19, 1763 "...arrived at the port of Charles Town with about seventy persons from Ireland who were come into this Province on the encouragement of Bounty..."
Henry Templeton
May be a wild guess, however, he does arrive in Charles Towne from Ireland, possibly on the Brigantine, Chichester" - From SCIway and it's ships list pages by Mary Proctor, only one ship listed for 1763 - The Fall. No information for Chichester is posted in 1763. The ship he did arrive on would be before February 19, 1763.
Ship's Lists
We have information on Robert Templeton, Sr., his family, and another Templeton, William, arriving aboard the Brig. Betty (this info. from Cathy Briner), from Larne in November of 1772. Researching the ship's lists and correlating the people on the ships with the settlers from Ireland in the Bounty Land Grants would be a good task. Not only would it work to identify where these settlers went, but possibly give the SCiway lists more information. See Sources for the ships list to review.
