- Mary was born circa 1781 in Cornwall.
- the surname Jacka seems to imply that she is in some way related to Mary Mitchell nee Jacka, however no connection has yet been established
- Mary appears to be of the same generation as Mary Mitchell nee Jacka's father,
- so Mary Jacka could be a maiden aunt, however Tobias's sister Mary was already married by 1795
- or she could be the widowed wife Tobias's brother, however none of his brother's appear to have have married a mary
- she could be a 2nd cousin
- or there may no connection at all.
- In the 1841 census, Mary (age 60) was in Penwartha, Perranzabuloe, Cornwall, England.[1]
