Description of the Rolls: The 1696 Association Oath Rolls for Cornwall were signed to show loyalty to King William. There are four main categories of people in Cornwall represented in the rolls – the gentry, the Clergy, the inhabitants of the boroughs, and tinner (miners) [see page 17]
