James Rushlow

My great great great grandfather (Alexander Louis Rushlow/Rusheleau/Rocheleau) came from New York State, near Clayton New York area in approximately 1877. The story has it, he was a stowaway on a Trampsteamer that stopped at Belleville Ontario Canada where he jumped off. He met my great great great grandmother (Martha Jane Kiaser) who lived on Franklin Street, which was located close to the Bay of Quinte shore. After a brief courtship, Alexander and Martha went north of Belleville to a little community called Stirling Ontario where they were married. Later the couple returned to Belleville Ontario where they lived their lives near the Bay of Quinte where they raised 11 children.

We know he had an Aunt Jane (Rushlow) and Uncle Eustace John Besaw in Clayton NY. This aunt and uncle were originally from Trois Rivers Quebec, Canada, as did Alexander's father. If anyone can provide parents and siblings names, why he came to Canada, or any information, it would be very much appreciated.
