John Livesay Will
In the name of God Amen, I, John Livesay of Uniontown Ky do make this my last Will and testament revoking all others formerly made
1st I will and bequeath to my wife Mary Ann during her natural life all my Slaves and one third of my other property, which I desire shall be divided after her death in the following manner towit – one fifth to the children of my son Charles Livesay dec’d One fifth to the children of Mary Powell dec’d. - .One fifth to the children of Catherine Powell dec’d. - . One fifth to my daughter Presilla Seigler, and one fifth to Elias Livesay. - . The remainder of my property I will equally to the above named heirs (One fifth to each) at my death excepting Six hundred dollars, which I will to my Grand son John Pritchett – And I hereby appoint Elias Livesay my sole Executor to carry out this my last will & testament. I also desire that my Son Elias shall act as Trustee for Mrs. Seigler receive her part of my estate and administer it to her as his judgement thinks best – I desire that if any of my heirs bring suit to break this Will, that they shall forever forfeit their interest in same, and that interest to be divided equally among the rest.

At a County Court held for Union County at the Court house in Morganfield on the 3rd day of August 1863 this last Will and testament of John Livesay deceased was partially proven on the 6th day of January 1862 (which appears by the endorsement of my predecessor) by the oath Hull Higginson a subscribing witness, and on the 3rd day of August 1863 it was further proven by the oath of Hull Higginson and George T. Higgison that G. F. Higginson the other subscribing witness in now dead, and that his attestation I in due form - . And thereupon said Will was ordered to be recorded as the Last Will & testament of John Livesay deceased, which has accordingly been done
