John Love disambiguation

The goal of this project is to determine the parentage of the various John Loves in Indiana, with birth years in the 1840's. There are two John Love individuals that I believe have been conflated in the WikiTree, and I want to untangle them.

Right now this project just has one member, me. I am Vince Hernly. William Linsey Love is both the father of John Love b. 1846, and one of my direct ancestors.

Here are some of the tasks that I think need to be done. I'll be working on them, and could use your help.

• record and match the records of all John Loves born in the 1840's in Indiana, or how lived in Indiana in the 1840-1870's.
• Record any other sources that give evidence to the parentage of those John Loves

Research Notes This John J Love other John Loves need to have a side-by-side tracing through the census records to determine who belongs to which family. I don't think that John J Love b. 27 OCT 1824 and m. Sally S is the son of William Linsey Love. John J's age is consistently OLDER than John, son of William.

1850 - at least three other John Loves b. 1844-46 in Indiana, Carroll, Clark, and Harrison County. Perhaps he was born in the southern part of the state as his family moved up from NC, since this is consistently where he claims his father was born.
