1646 Letter dated London, September 14, 1646, and recorded in Surry, from John White to Captain Robert Shepard at his house on Chipooks; salutes him and his wife, and acknowledges the receipt of two hogsheads of tobacco from him; also writes in regard to a debt due him, White, by Mr. Fowler, deceased, which he hopes Captain Browne and Captain Freeman will pay; has received certain tobacco from your neighbor Mr. Webb
