Searching for the parentage of Robert Jones (b 1818, Rutherford County, NC d 1889, Cleveland County, NC), married Jane Warlick. Robert & Jane lived near Palm Tree Church, Lawndale, Cleveland County, NC. They had children Henry Frank Jones (1847-1924), Cynthia Georgianna Jones (1850-1925), Donald William Jones (1852-1916), Sallie Jones (1857-1910), and Columbus Durant Jones (1860-1894).
Based on DNA matches, I am fairly certainly Robert was the grandson of John "The Blind" Jones (1753-1824) of Rutherford Co, NC, but I cannot find concrete genealogical evidence proving this hypothesis.
