In these documents, Joseph G Cass gives an affidavit stating that he is over 21 and unmarried. William Wilson, presumably the father of Mary Wilson, signs his consent to the marriage. Both of these documents were signed on 6 Jul 1933 in Knox County. The back of these documents seem to show that they are related to the marriage application for the marriage between Joseph G Cass and Mary Willson.

and being duly sworn according
to Law do deposeth + saith he this deponant
is over the age of 21 years, is unmarried
+c + further saith not. Sworn to + subscribed
before me this 6 day of
July 1833.

Mr Eliott after my compliment to you
this is to inform you that the application
for mariage [sic] license by Joseph G Cass is with
