The Journal is published semi-annually and is the scholarly descendant of the CCGS Bulletin. It contains edited, well-sourced articles about not only Barnstable County Genealogy and History but also articles of general interest to the members.

The mission of the Cape Cod Genealogical Society is to promote research and education in genealogy and history; to acquire, catalog and preserve genealogical and historical information emphasizing but not limited to Cape Cod; and to disseminate genealogical and historical information by various means.

The Cape Cod Genealogical Society, Inc. was founded on 21 August 1971 and formalized by the adoption of by-laws and the election of officers on 16 March 1972.

Membership is open to all who have an interest in genealogy, and in particular of the Cape Cod area, whether or not they can attend the meetings of the Society. Please write to the membership chairman c/o CCGS PO Box 1394, Harwich, MA 02645 or go to http://www.capecodgenealogy.org/membership for a membership application.

The Society’s genealogical book collection is listed on our website at http://www.capecodgenealogy.org. The genealogy room is available for research and assistance at the Dennis Public Library, 5 Hall Street, Dennis Port, Massachusetts
