To the Sheriff of the Parish of Orleans, or to his Lawful Deputy

Greetings,

You are hereby commanded to take into your possession and custody the plaintiff as pray’d for and keep her until further order of the Court, and in what manner you shall have executed this writ you make return thereof in the Parish Court for the Parish and City of New Orleans, on the 1st Monday of September next 1827.

Witness the Honorable James Pitot the 20th day of August 1827 and in the 52nd year of the American Independence.
