This is my g2 grandfather brick wall. George Cook Justice, reportedly born 1826 in Philadelphia, died 1864 in Virginia while serving as a Union Officer in the 15th New Jersey Infantry. He left a widow Sarah Ann Hinkley and eight children at home in Lambertville, New Jersey. During his lifetime, he was a professional stage actor in Philadelphia and New York, lecturer and shoe maker. His wife Sarah was reportedly born in New York.
A YDNA Test indicates that my ancestry before my g2 Grandfather Justice was of a family named Cook.
Stuck here since the early 1980s. Any and all information is much appreciated.
