Marriage and Children
Married 1st, in Hampton, New Hampshire, about 1647, Mary Tucke, daughter of Robert Tuck. Mary died on 30 December 1668.[3]

- John Sanborn, born about 1649;[1][4][5] married in Hampton, 19 November 1674, Judith Coffin. [1][4][5] The death date of 3 September 1727, as given in Colonial Families, is questionable.[5] According to the Hampton death records this is for an "Ensign John." Other sources believe the death date is 10 November 1723.
- Mary Sanborn, born on 12 April 1651;[4]died in Hampton, October 1654.[2]
- Abigail or Abial Sanborn, born on 23 February 1653;[1][4] died in Hampton, 3 January 1743;[1] married in Hampton, 19 February 1677, Ephraim Marston, brewer, son of Thomas.[4]
- Richard Sanborn, born on 4 January 1654/5[1][4]; married (1), in Hampton, 5 December 1678 Ruth Moulton[1][4] died 3 May 1685, daughter of William Moulton[1] married (2), in Hampton, 20 December 1693 , as her second husband, Mary (Drake) Boulter, daughter of Abraham Drake.[4]
- Mary Sanborn, born on 19 March 1657;[4] died in Hampton, 4 March 1660.[4]
- Joseph Sanborn, born on 13 March 1658/59;[1][4] died in Hampton after 15 June 1722 (land deeds to children) and before 25 November 1727 when his widow remarried; married in Hampton, 28 December 1682, as her first husband, Mary Gove, daughter of Capt. Edward Gove.[1][4] No actual death record has been found.
- Stephen Sanborn, born on November 1661;[4] died in Hampton, 24 February 1662.[4]
- Ann Sanborn, born on 20 November 1662;[1][4] died in Hampton, 4 October 1745;[1][4] married Samuel Palmer.
- Nathaniel Sanborn, born on 27 January 1666;[1][4] married (1) Rebecca Prescott, died 10 August 1704, daughter of James Prescott;[1]married (2) Sarah Nason, died September 1748.[1] The death date of 9 November 1723 is questionable. No primary source has been found for it, and his will indicates his estate was inventoried on 28 November 1722.
- Deacon Benjamin Sanborn, born on 20 December 1668;[1][4] "Departed this life Decemb'r ye 18th 1740 in ye 71st Year of his Age;[6] married (1), in Hampton, 1690, Sarah Worcester, died 29 January 1719/20, daughter of Timothy Worcester;[1][4] married (2), in Hampton Falls, 7 November 1721, as her third husband, Meribah (Page) Tilton, died before 1724, daughter of Deacon Francis Page; married (3) Abigail (Gove) Dalton, as her second of three husbands, died 8 May 1751, daughter of Captain Edward Gove.
Married 2nd, in Hampton, 2 August 1671, Margaret (Page) Moulton,[7] widow of William Moulton and daughter of Robert Page.[1] Margaret died 13 July 1699.[8]

- Captain Jonathan Sanborn, born on 25 May 1672 in Hampton;[1][4] died in Kingston, New Hampshire, 20 June 1741;[4] married Elizabeth Shearborne, daughter of Capt Samuel Sherburne.
Disputed Children
- Dinah Sanborn; married (1), 23 July 1678, James Marston.[9] GDMNH reports she might have been daugther of Stephen Samborne.
- Martha Sanborn born on 12 February 1655 in Hampton as daughter of John Sanborn and Mary.[10] Her date of birth, however, is too close to Richard's. She is not listed in the other secondary sources.
