Kemnay (Scottish Gaelic: Ceann a' Mhuigh)

Kemnay is the 13th largest town in Aberdeenshire, with a population of 3,830 in 2011. It is located 16 miles (26 km) west of Aberdeen in Garioch, Aberdeenshire.

The village name is believed to originate from the Celtic words that mean "little crook in the river", due to its location on the bend of the River Don. [[1]]
