I, Robert N Bishop, a Justice
of the Peace in and for the county
and state aforesaid, hereby certify
that Elisie Elliran and J. Estana, two of the grantors in the fore
going counveyance, who are known to me, appeared before me
this day, and acknowledged, that being informed of the contents
of the conveyance, they executed the same voluntarily on the
day the same bear date

To all to whom there present shall come, Gretting
Know all men, that I, Stephen Dowty, of the
County of Baldwin, State of Alabama, as receiver, appointed
by the Chancery Court for Mobile County, to take chare of the
property belonging to the late copartnerhsip of Kennedy & Ellison
and duly authorized and empowered to sell the same and
in pursuance of a sale duly made, on the thirteenth day of
April eighteen hundred and sixty six, at Public Auction
in front of the Custom House at Mobile, State of Alabama
and in consideration of the sum of Eight Thousand five
hundred and ninety 72/100 dollars, to me paid, by James
W Wemyss, of the County of Mobile, State aforesaid, the
Purchaser at said sale, of the Real Estate, hereinafter described
the receipt whereof I do hereby acknowledge, do hereby
grant, bargain, sell and convey, unto the said James
A Wemyss, his heir and assigns forever, by virtue and in
pursuance of the sale and Powers above refered to, the
tracts of land, situated in Baldwin County, State of

Alabama, and described as follows: All the west 1/2 section
Eight (except North west 3/4 of the North West 1/4) also South wes[ ]
1/4 of North East 1/4 and South West 1/4 of South East 1/4 of Section
Eight, all the above containing their hunder and fif[ ]
85/100 acres; All of section eighteen which lies on the sou[ ]
side of the north branch of Fish River, containing four hund[ ]
and fifty six 25/100 acres: Fractional section nineteen con[ ]
taining one hundred and fifty nine 64/100: All
that Portion of the Spanish claim No 37 to Wm McKinzey, wh[ ]
lies north of the said north Branch, containing four hundred
and seventy eight 56/100 Acres: Also a Portion of said gran
the same grant, which lies in Range Two east, less seven acres
five acres of which are Known as the "Forbes Ferry" and
bounded on the west and souther by said Northern Branch
of Fish River and by a small running Branch: the
other two acres of said seven excepted, are the same sol[d]
to Frederick Erichson, and lie on said Northern Branch, and
south of the five acres Known as "Forbes Ferry", the Portion
now sold containing one hundred and two 55/100 acres
All of fractional Section thirty, except the North west 1/4 tr[ ]
of, containing three hundred and eighteen 32/100 acres
all that Portion of the Joseph Fernandez claim bought
from J Estana and Known as section 31, which
lies (north) of there continuining westwardly, the south
boundary line of section Twenty nine, containing two hundred
and Twenty acres: all of the fractional west half section
Twenty nine containing two hundred and seventy seven
acres: all of the section containing six hundred
forty 24/100 acres; all of section Seventeen (17) containing
six hundred and thirty nine 60/100 acres: all of section
Twenty one containing Six hundred and forty three 36/100 Acres,
and all lying and situated in Township Seven South, of
Range three East, except the one hundred and two 55/100 acres
of Spanish Section thirty seven in Range Two East, of the land
subject to sale at St Stephens, Alabama Land Office.
To have and To Hold - the said tracts on Purveety of law
with the privileges and appurtenances thereof, to him
the said James A Wemyss his heirs and assigns forever,

set my hand and seal this first day of May AD 1866
