The Clipper Ship Kent made numerous Voyages to the Australian Colonies in the 19th Century
The Kent was the first of the Blackwall Frigates built for the Melbourne trade. She was built in 1852 of oak by the Messrs. Money Wigram & Sons Company at Blackwall and measured 186 feet, with a beam of 33 feet and a draught of 20 feet and she displaced 920 tons of water.
