Excluded ‘Townlands’

  • Dermot and Grania’s Rock A small island, a little north of the light house & about 52 feet from the shore, over which distance the champion Dheermud leaped and followed by Grauna, but attempting to leap backwards, she was drowned. Situated in the Atlantic Ocean and attached to the townland of Kilbaha North.
  • Black Rock Island Situated in the townland of Kilbaha North - or rather in the Atlantic Ocean but attached to it. No person has been known to be able to ascend, its sides being so steep.
  • Duloughry’s Island
  • Gull Island
  • Rinvella Point Island
