About the Project

The King Name Study project serves as a collaborative platform to collect information on the King name. The hope is that other researchers like you will join the study to help make it a valuable reference point for other genealogists who are researching or have an interest in the King name.

As a One Name Study, this project is not limited to persons who are related biologically. Individual studies can be used to branch out the research into specific methods and areas of interest, such as geographically (England King's), by time period (18th Century King's), or by topic (King DNA, King Occupations, King Statistics). These studies may also include a number of family branches which have no immediate link with each other. Some researchers may even be motivated to go beyond the profile identification and research stage to compile fully sourced, single-family histories of some of the families they discover through this name study project.

I am the daughter of Jean Rosalee King. Her father was Frank Wolford King. We carry on up the lineage from here. It’s an interesting ride! Join me!

I'm very new to wikitree. I am researching the Magdalen King, his father John King and the rest of the family. I know there is some research done and written in the Greene Family History but would like more corroborating evidence. If you're interested in this line, please feel free to reach out.

If there is anyone working on the King name, I would love help with finding the parents for Anna Victoria King and Louisa King. They also have a sister Martha (King) Walker, born in Ohio1841. Thank you.

I'm gonna see if I can find anything about them, I have been working on some Kings in Ohio recently!

I'm really not sure how this project works, but I'd love to join. I've been working on my brick wall ancestor https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/King-39643 for a long time.
