Kings of Maigh Seóla

Project: British Isles Royals and Aristocrats 742-1499 --- Project: British Isles Royals and Aristocrats 1500-Present

Land along the east shore of Lough Corrib in County Galway. It was bounded by the Uí Maine vassal kingdom of Soghain. Its rulers up to the 1220s were the Muintir Murchada, who took the surname O'Flaherty. In Maigh Seola the territorial term Iar Connacht was only used to denote the territory of the O'Flahertys west of Lough Corrib and Lough Mask.

Right now this project just has one member, me. I am Richard Devlin.

Here are some of the tasks that I think need to be done. I'll be working on them, and could use your help.

Will you join me? Please post a comment here on this page, in G2G using the project tag, or send me a private message. Thanks!
