Memorial erected to commemorate those from Killean and Kilchenzie who lost their lives in World War I.


  • Lance Sergeant Archibald Galbraith enlisted with the 24th Battalion, Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders in Dec. 1915. He was killed in France in April 24,1917, just a few weeks before his brother Donald was killed.
  • Private Donald Galbraith was fighting in the Balkan Theatre with the 12th Battalion Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders when he was killed in May 19, 1917.
