Kirkcudbrightshire Team

Kirkcudbrightshire (not to be confused with the town of Kirkcudbright) is a historic county of Scotland. It is bounded on the north and north-west by Ayrshire, on the west and south-west by Wigtownshire, on the south and south-east by the Irish Sea and the Solway Firth, and on the east and north-east by Dumfriesshire. The counties of Kirkcudbright and Wigtown make up the region of Galloway. As of 1975, Kirkcudbright was combined with the counties of Dumfries and Wigtown to form the region of Dumfries and Galloway.
