The Place was renamed Śwignajno Małe after the war. As a result of the war, the whole of southern East Prussia was transferred to Poland in 1945, Klein Schwignainen was also affected. The village was given the Polish name "Śwignajno Małe" and is today a locality in the Ruciane-Nida (Rudczanny/Niedersee-Nieden) urban and rural commune in the Piski powiat (Johannisburg district), which belonged to the Suwałki voivodeship until 1998 and to the Warmia-Masuria voivodeship since then)
