History
Knox Presbyterian Church and its related cemetery were established in the community of Elder's Mills in 1845. The first burial appears to have occurred in 1848. The original church was replaced with a stone church in 1883. The church closed at this location in 1961 and in 1974, the church structure was damaged by fire and subsequently demolished.
Today, Knox Vaughan Presbyterian Cemetery is an active cemetery maintained by City of Vaughan containing approximately 275 interments. The cemetery is on the north side of Rutherford Road, west of Highway #27 in Vaughan, not far from the village of Kleinburg.
