About the Project
The Kurdyla Name Study project serves as a collaborative platform to collect information on the Kurdyla name. The hope is that other researchers like you will join the study to help make it a valuable reference point for other genealogists who are researching or have an interest in the Kurdyla name.
As a One Name Study, this project is not limited to persons who are related biologically. Individual studies can be used to branch out the research into specific methods and areas of interest, such as geographically (England Kurdyla's), by time period (18th Century Kurdyla's), or by topic (Kurdyla DNA, Kurdyla Occupations, Kurdyla Statistics). These studies may also include a number of family branches which have no immediate link with each other. Some researchers may even be motivated to go beyond the profile identification and research stage to compile fully sourced, single-family histories of some of the families they discover through this name study project.
Also see the related surnames and surname variants.

- more to come...
Current Focus
- My current plan/idea is to research and create profiles for Kurdyla folks who can be found in census records in New Jersey. This is where my family lived, and based on my personal research and discussion with some DNA matches, it seems there are plenty of Kurdyla who lived in New Jersey. In particular, three areas have come up a lot; Carteret, Elizabeth City, and Newark. I've been building out small trees on Ancestry of Kurdyla I find, in hopes to find some records that might connect them to me. Vernon-2152 13:12, 22 March 2023 (UTC)
