Location: Platte 1, Simonswald, Emmendingen, Deutschland
Surnames/tags: Ruf Schuler Dold
Langeckerhof is a farm at the Platte hill in Simonswald valley close to Zweribach waterfall. Situated on the margin of Obersimonswald it belonged (and belongs?) to the Catholic parish of St. Peter. It is not to be confused with Langeckhof at the border between St. Peter, to which it belongs, and Eschbach.
Owners
Philipp Ru(e)f from Steinbachhof married Eva Dold in 1742. Her parents owned the farm.[1]
Later the Schuler family from Langeckhof was running it. Male Schuler descendants from Langeckerhof later owned Kaufhaus Schuler (since 1888), Weisenhof (since 1890) and Burlehof.[2] One of their sisters was Josepha Schuler (1858–1936), better known als Plattewieble.[3] Because of her father, Michael Schuler, the farm was back then also referred to as s'Michels[3]
