This is the last Will and testament of me William Wilson of Wilmslow in the County of Chester Butcher Subject to the payment of my just Debts Funeral expenses and the charges of proving this my last will I give devise and bequeath all and every my Two Leasehold Messuages Land Tenements Hereditaments and Premises situate in Wilmslow aforesaid or elsewhere and the rents lieues proceeds and profits thereof and of every part thereof and also all my Stock in Trade Household Furniture Book Debts and all and every Sum and Sums of money out at Interest or otherwise And all other my estate and effects whatsoever and wheresoever and of what nature or kind soever onto my son John Wilson of Mottram Saint Andrew in the county of Chester Innkeeper to hold the realty to him his heirs and assigns forever and the personalty to him his Executors Administrators and Assigns Upon the several Trusts and to and for the several uses ends intents and purposes and under and subject to the several directions hereinafter mentioned expressed and declared of and concerning the same that is to say Upon Trust in the first place from and immediately after my decease to take an Inventory of all and singular my Stock in Trade Household Furniture and all other my personal Estate and Effects and collect and get in all my Outstanding Debts and place the same together with all other Sum or Sums of money which may be collected and get in by my said Trustee out at Interest upon some good and sufficient security Upon Trust and confidence and to the use intent and purpose that my said Trustee [?] shall permit and suffer my dear wife Sarah to have take and enjoy my said Household Furniture and Stock in Trade and also to have receive and take the whole of the interest and the rents issues proceeds and profits of all and singular my said Two Leasehold Messages Land Tenements Hereditaments and Premises and all other my said Estate and Effects whatsoever and wheresoever and of what nature or kind soever for her own sole absolute use and benefit for her during the term of her natural life and in case it shall be necessary at any time or times during the lifetime of my said dear wife then my said trustee do and Shall permit and suffer her to call in any Sum or Sums of money that may have been placed out at interest as aforesaid to be by her disposed of for her more comfortable maintenance and support and from and immediately after the decease of my said wife Then upon further trust that my said Trustee his Heirs Executors or Administrators do and shall with all convenient speed make sale and absolutely dispose of all and singular my said Two Leasehold Messuages Land Tenements Hereditaments and Premises with their and every of their Appurtenances by Public Auction [Signed] William Wilson

or Private Contract asto him his Heirs Executors or Administrators shall seem meet and for the most and best price or prices that can or may be had or gotten for the same and either together or in parcels unto any person or persons who shall be desirous of becoming the Purchaser or Purchasers of the same Premises or any part thereof and do and shall for that purpose make and execute all such Deeds Conveyances and Assurances as my said Trustee shall think fit and also do and shall at the same time make Sale and absolutely dispose of all and singular my said Stock in Trade Household Furniture (which may be in the possession of my said dear wife at the time of her decease) and y’all other my personal Estate and Effects whatsoever and wheresoever and of what nature or kind soever for the most monies that can or may be had or gotten for the same and also do and shall at the same time call in the monies which may be out at Interest and collect and get in all my outstanding Debts should there be any still outstanding Then upon trust that my said Trustee his Executors or Administrators do and shall pay and apply the Sum of Twenty Pounds unto and for the sole use and benefit of my Daughter Ellen the wife of William Turner and from and after such payment then upon trust that he my said Trustee his Executors or Administrators do and shall pay apply and divide the whole of the residue and remainder of the monies arising from such Sale ornSales and receipts as aforesaid unto and equally amongst all and every my Sons the said John Wilson Charles Wilson James Wilson and William Wilson my Daughter Mary the wife of James Shaw and Henry Wilson the Son of my Daughter Elizabeth Shaw share and share alike and to the lawful issue of such of them as shall be then dead share and share alike such Issue to have and take equally amongst them the part and share only which his her or their parent or parents would if living have been entitled unto and I do hereby direct and declare that in case any of my said Sons John Charles James and William my said Daughter Mary Shaw and Henry Wilson the Son of my said Daughter Elizabeth [Signed] William Wilson

Shaw should happen to die (before the division of my said Property shall be made) without having lawful Issue Then the Share or Shares of him her or them so dying shall accrue and belong unto the survivors and survivor and others or other of them my said Sons John Charles James and William my said Daughter Mary and the said Henry Wilson and shall be equally divided between or amongst them if more than one share and share alike And I do hereby direct and declare that the Receipt or Receipts of my said Trustee his Executors,or Administrators for the Purchase Money or Monies to arise from the Sale or Sales of the said Premises or any part or parts thereof shall be a good and sufficient discharge and discharges for the same to the Purchaser or Purchasers thereof his her and their Executors Administrators and Assigns respectively And then such Purchaser or Purchasers shall not be answerable or accountable for the application their application or nonapplication of such Purchase Money or in any way obliged to see the same applied to and upon the several Uses trusts and purposes herein mentioned And I do hereby also declare that my said Trustee shall not be answerable or accountable for any more of the Trust Monies and Effects than what shall really come to his hands by virtue of this my Will nor for any involuntary loss which may happen thereto and that he may deduct retain and keep to himself out of the said Trust Monies all such costs charges and expenses as he shall bear pay sustain lay out expend or be put unto in about touching or concerning the execution of this my last Will and the trust hereby in him reposed together with reasonable alternate for his trouble in or about the same And lastly I do hereby nominate constitute and appoint my said dear wife Executrix and my said SonJohn Wilson Executor of this my Will hereby revoking all former and other Will or Wills [Signed] William Wilson

codicil or codicils by me at any time heretofore made and do declare this only to be my last Will and Testament In Witness whereof I have to the three first Sheets of this my last Will subscribed my name and to the fourth and last sheet subscribed my name and affixed my seal this Twenty Seventh day of January in the Year of our Lord One Thousand Eight hundred and Thirty two

Signed Sealed Published and declared by the Testator William Wilson as and for his last Will and Testament in the presence of us who in his presence at his request and in the presence of each other’s have hereunto subscribed our names as Witnesses [signed] William Wilson Matthew Shaw John Crabtree Jos Loney[?]

The twenty fifth Day of June 1833. Sarah Wilson and John Wilson, the Executrix and Executor in this Will named, were sworn in common Form, and they further made oath that the personal Estate and Effects of the Testator, within the Diocese of Chester, were under the Value of eight hundred pounds, before me, Thomas Parker, Surrogate.

The Testator died the twenty fourth Day of January 1833.
