Glenariff or Waterfoot is a small coastal village at the foot of Glenariff, one of the Glens of Antrim. Waterfoot had a population of 520 people in the 2011 census.[2] Glenariff/Waterfoot village includes parts of Foriff townland in Layd parish, Warren townland in Layd and Ardclinis parish, Bay and Carrivemurphy townlands in Ardclinis parish.
Cushendun is a small coastal village off the A2 coast road between Cushendall and Ballycastle. Cushendun had a population of 138 people in the 2001 census.[3] Cushendun village is mostly in Cushendun townland in Culfeightrin parish although part is in Sleans townland in Layd parish.
Knocknacarry is a hamlet about 1 km west of Cushendun village. Knocknacarry had a population of 138 people in the 2001 Census.[4]
