Repeated use of the same source in the same profile Help:Sources#Repeated_use_of_the_same_source_in_the_same_profile Here's how to use the same source citation multiple times. The first time you use it, include a "name" inside the ref tag, like this:
< ref name="birth certificate">Birth Certificate of George Russell Beebe, Registration 398-5554-428 (1920), Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services - Bureau of Vital Records, Personal copy in the files of Barbara Beebe</ref>
In all following references you can just use this:
< ref name="birth certificate" />
Done this way, all subsequent footnotes for this same source will point to the same footnote at the bottom of the page. Note that " in the "birth certificate" example above is a quotation mark, not two apostrophes.

- 'Super clear and easy to follow, right? Personally, I've gotten into the consistent habit of always using self-closing tags like < br /> instead of just < br> in HTML. For elements that contain sets of parameters, it would be something like: <img style="max-width: 50%; src="SomeImageFile.jpg" alt="SomeDescription" /> with the self-closing tag at the end, just like we do in WikiMedia markup for repeated use of a [4] [5]

Learning Sources in Profiles This is a one place reference for the url's and links I need to remember. Will explain more as I learn what I need to learn. I tried putting text between [6] but it disappeared
For use on a profile of a person who probably never existed. See Template:Uncertain Existence for more information.
