Dear Bro

After so long I will write you a few lines as I think I can surprise you when I tell you I was married the 19th of this month to Lizzie Smedley. She was raised in Ohio. Came to this county on a visit She is niece of Xxxx Wolverton. Ruf I think the world will go better with me in the future. I will not go to housekeeping untill(sp) next Oct. I think by that time I will have a place of my own to go too(sp) Crop is looking fine. I have my corn laid by have my cotton to plow twice more then I will be through working in the field for this year. Ruf I have been looking for a letter for some time. I am expecting John* in Sept, next would like to have you here too. If it is possible things may change so that we can live close together yet. (I hope so at least) I received a letter from John* a few days a go and he tells me that uncle John Thomas is going to visit E J this fall. Also Aunt Banshie(?) & one of the boys. I would like to see them all very much but it will be out of my (something) for this year. When I go back I will take my better half with me. Do you intend to make Ark your home what are you going to do next year when you give me a full history of your self As ever your bro. Houston Kennedy
