In the Name of God Amen

I William Lomas of Quarnford in the parish of Alstonefield in the County of Stafford yeoman being of sound and disposing Mind Memory and Understanding and being desirous in such condition to settle my worldly affairs do make publish and Declare this to be my last will and testament in manner and form following that is to say

First I commend my soul into the Hands of Almighty God my Heavenly Father assuredly hoping that through the merits sufferings and passion of Jesus Christ my Blessed saviour and Redeemer that my sins will be pardoned and that I shall have Everlasting Life in the World which is to come and my Body I commit to the Earth to be Decently Buried at the Discretion of my Executors herein after named and as to such Worldly Estate it hath pleased God to Bless me with I dispose thereof as follows

And first I give unto my second son John Lomas his Heirs Executors and Administrators All my Estate Right Title Interest Tenant Right and Possession which I have of and in and unto the Messuage Farm or Tenement at Quarnford aforesaid with all Buildings Lands and Premises to the same belonging with their and every of their appurtenances Also all that my Freehold Messuage Farm or Tenement with all Buildings Land and Premises to the same belonging with their and every of their appurtenances called Tunsteads and all other my Real Estate whatsoever or wheresoever I hereby give unto my said second son John Lomas To hold to my said son John Lomas his Heirs and assigns for Ever

Upon Condition nevertheless it is my Will and Mind that my said son John Lomas his Heirs and assigns do and shall well and truly pay unto my Daughter Sarah Wood the sum of One Hundred and Twenty pounds to be paid to her within Twelve Months next after my Decease and to be to her own private and separate use and do make my said Real Estate to be subject and Chargeable therewith which I give to her

And do also charge my said Real Estate with the further sum of One Hundred and Thirty Pounds which I give unto my Daughter Mary Hunt to be paid to her within Twelve Months next after my Decease and do also give to her the Tenement she lives in called Love Lane with all appurtenances thereto to her her Heirs and assigns

Provided also it is my further Will and Mind that if my said Daughter Mary Hunt shall happen to die before she becomes intitled to the said One Hundred and Thirty Pounds then I give the same and every part thereof unto and Equally amongst the children of the said Mary Hunt their Heirs and assigns for Ever her Eldest son William Holland only Excepted to whom I Give the sum of One Hundred and sixty pounds with which sum I make my said Real Estate chargeable and to be paid within Twelve Months next after my decease to him his Executors Administrators or Assigns

Also I Give unto the children of my Eldest son William Lomas i.e. to Abraham Esther and Casiah the sum of Ten pounds apiece

Also I Give unto my Eldest son William Lomas the sum of Five shillings

Also I Give unto my Wife Jane Lomas the like sum of Five shillings she being sufficiently provided for

Also I Give to the poor of the Libertys or Townships of Quarnford, Hollinsclough, Longnor, Leekfrith, Winkle and Wildboarclough the sum of Five pounds apiece to be Distributed by my Executors herein after named within Twelve Months next after my decease

And from and after the payment of my Just Debts the within Legacies Funeral Charges and the Expences in Proving this my Will all the rest residue and remainder of my Goods Cattle Chattels and Personal Estate whatsoever or wheresoever I hereby Give Devise and Bequeath unto my said son John Lomas his Executors Administrators or Assigns

And I do nominate and appoint my said son John Lomas and my said Grandson William Holland to be Executors of this my last Will and Testament and do revoke all other Wills by me heretofore made to make this my last In Witness whereof I the said William Lomas the Elder have to this my last Will and Testament contained in two sheets of paper to the first whereof I have set my Hand only and to this last my Hand and seal the Fourth day of December in the sixteenth year of the Reign of our sovereign Lord George the Third by the Grace of God King over Great Britain and so forth and in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and Seventy five

Signed sealed published and Declared by the said William Lomas the Testator as and for his last Will and Testament in the Presence of us who in the presence and at the request of the said Testator subscribed our names as Witnesses thereunto the words "And do also Give to her the Tenement she lives in called Love-Lane with all appurtenances thereto to her her Heirs and assignes" being first Interlined and several other small Interlineations and several Erazures being first made in the Presence of us

Let a Probate of this will be granted to John Lomas one of the Executors Reserving a Power for William Holland, John Lomas being duly sworn before me
