Louisiana Member Help Team

The goal of this team is to help project members to be satisfied and productive members in the project. We wish to create an open and welcoming environment for all members to work in, and to be responsive to their needs.

Team Members

The Louisiana Member Help Team generally consists of experienced WT members that understand the project's objectives, have demonstrated a general proficiency in WikiTree processes, and are patient with new members who are trying to learn the "WikiTree way." We assume that mistakes are unintentional.

Team Tasks

This is a list of the tasks that team members can work on. You can select which tasks you want to work on, and

• Welcome new members when they join the project, and point them to the project page to get oriented.
• Work with members looking for help with Louisiana profiles. That could be in the form of directly tutoring them on how to do something, or pointing them to a helpful WikiTree page or video, or referring them to another Project member with the appropriate expertise.
• Monitor the Project's Activity Feeds on a regular schedule. Sign up for just an hour or two per week. Thank contributors for making positive profile edits. Inform project leaders if additional help is needed to resolve issues - for example if you don't have the time or resources to devote to it.
• Monitor G2G threads for Louisiana topics. This is pretty easy to do anytime you're logged on to WikiTree. If there's a discussion that you can answer, clarify, or participate in, please jump in! If you happen to run across a Louisiana-related question that isn't properly tagged, ask the poster to add the Louisiana tag, or ask Joyce to add it, to help give the question more attention.
• Review the list of members who added the Louisiana tag to their profile. Look through their contributions for qualities that would be helpful to the project's teams.
