Surnames/tags: Lynch O'Lynch Linch

Introduction
I initiated this ONS as my wife's father is a Lynch and I was hoping to find other strands of the family and perhaps more of a solid idea as to where this family came from.
Initial research shows the Lynch name is interesting as it has separate Norman and Irish roots, so it well deserves a Study!
Although my own goals have a particular focus, I will certainly be happy to bring together all Wikitree members with a common interest in Lynch genealogy.
Participants
Apart from myself, users participating in the study include:
- Rob Walker - Lynch on mother's side primarily from Liverpool, England
- Allan Capps USN (ret.) - descendants of Elijah Lynch (abt.1760-1839). Alan's grandmother was Bessie (Lynch) Doby (1911-2003).
How to Join
Please contact the project leader Jason Cottrell or post a comment at the foot of the page. If you have any questions, just ask. Thanks!
Surname Variants
Variants of Lynch we are aware of are:
- Linch
- O'Lynch.
- MacLynch
- MacLynchy
- de Lench
Goals
This is a One Name Study to collect together in one place everything about one surname and the variants of that name. The hope is that other researchers like you will join our study to help make it a valuable reference point for people studying lines that cross or intersect.
Donegal Lynch Analysis
Based on the work done on the Lynches in County Donegal, the following analysis has been prepared:
