About the Project

The Mallonee Name Study project serves as a collaborative platform to collect information on the Mallonee name. The hope is that other researchers like you will join the study to help make it a valuable reference point for other genealogists who are researching or have an interest in the Mallonee name.

As a One Name Study, this project is not limited to persons who are related biologically. Individual team studies can be used to branch out the research into specific methods and areas of interest, such as geographically (England Mallonees), by time period (18th Century Mallonees), or by topic (Mallonee DNA, Mallonee Occupations, Mallonee Statistics). These studies may also include a number of family branches which have no immediate link with each other. Some researchers may even be motivated to go beyond the profile identification and research stage to compile fully sourced, single-family histories of some of the families they discover through this name study project.

I have found DNA connections to Marlenee, Mallonee and my surname is Mallernee. I know that one variation is Malernee, an "L" dropped.

I suspect Chromesome 7 segment is the common DNA segment....however I am new to genetic geneology. My furthest Mallonee is John Mallonee, 1728-1783, birth and death both in Maryland.

Other Mallonees I suspect are related are:

Peter Mallonee of Lancashire England 1677 to Maryland 1690, possibly the father of John listed above, per a will in Maryland that literally states"poss father of John Mallonee"
