Manuel Goldsberry Doby of North Carolina

I need a little help from my fellow WikiTreeers. I'm trying to sort out the records for Manuel Goldsberry Doby, the son of Columbus Doby. (not to be confused with Columbus' brother, Manly Gales Goldsbury Doby, who was married to Sarah Adeline Johnson). At first, I thought there were two separate Manuel Goldsberry Dobys, but as I was getting ready to create the Wikitree profiles, I discovered what seems to be proof that it's actually one person with two wives at the same time. Specifically, these two documents have led me to that conclusion:

• 1906 - marriage record to Nannie Belle Hunt lists his parents as Columbus and Lunda Doby
• 1941 - his death certificate lists his mother (step mother) as Mary Hughes and his wife as Tishie Sain. Mary Hughes was Columbus Doby's second wife.

However, they also appear to be two different people:

• The birth year (+/- 1 year) for the husband of Tishie Sain is 1878.
• The birth year (+/- 1 year) for the husband of Nannie Hunt is 1883.
