FOR AND IN CONSIDERATION of the sum of one hundred and Fifty ($150.00) Dollars, cash in hand paid, and the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, we, W.H. Floyd and wife B.J. Floyd, do hereby deed and convey unto E. M. Jones, his heirs or assigns, the following tract or parcel of land situated in Marion County, Tennessee, on the Cumberland Mountain, and more fully described as follows, to-wit:

Beginning on the northward corner of Tom Harrison's tract of land where he now lives, on the point between Pocket and Gray's Creek, streams that flow into the Little Sequatchie River; thence running northeastward to a stake on the south line of the "Latson Tract"; thence west with said line to John Slatton's line; thence with John Slatton's line west to a stake, the northeast corner of Margaret Griffith's tract of land; thence south with her line to the bluff of Gray's Creek, corners on a pine, thence Southeastward by a suphur[sic] spring to Harrison's line; thence with his line to the beginning, containing forty-five acres, more or less, and is the tract of land upon which I lived until some two or three years ago, before moving to the west.
TO HAVE AND TO HOLD unto the said E. M. Jones, his heirs or assigns forever in fee simple, we covenant with the said E. M. Jones that we are lawfully seized and possessed of said forty-five acres of land, and that we have a good right to convey the same, that it is not encumbered and we bind ourselves, our heirs and assigns forever to defend the title to said forty-five acres against the lawful claims of all persons whomsoever.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, we hereunto subscribe our names this 22 day of February 1912.

Before me Carey Holbrook, a Notary Public duly appointed, commissioned and qualified, in and for the County and State aforesaid, personally appeared W. H. Floyd, and his wife, J. B. Floyd[sic], the within named bargainors[sic], with whom I am personally acquainted, and who acknowledged that they executed the within instrument for the purpose therein contained; and B. J. Floyd, wife of the said W. H. Floyd, with whom I am personally acquainted, having appeared before me freely and apart from her husband, the said W. H. Floyd, acknowledged the execution of the said deed to have been done by her freely, voluntarily and understandingly without compulsion or constraint from her husband, and for the purpose therein expressed.
IN TESTIMONY WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and Notarial seal at office in Sebastian County, Arkansas, on this 22 day of February, 1912.
