US Black Heritage Project
... ... ... is a part of US Black heritage.

ALSO added to the [FREE SPACE=records St. John's Parish Register

THIS IS part of the U.S. Black Heritage Project it will have to be clear and direct to the point.
US Black Heritage Slavery Project
" Very interesting! Since you have the two enslaved persons that are married in a church during 1834 that is amazing in Maryland since Slave Owners usually did not allow for a marriage to take place before Slavery was abolisit with the 13th amendment to the U.S. Constitution. "
The goal of this project is to ...
add all ENTRIES from the St. John's Parish Register, Joppa, Harford County, Maryland page 310 image 484.. Starts here and more found on next pages. [1]
IT is not just St. John's Parish Register but St. George's Parish, and St. James' has some as well.
Right now this project just has one member, please add your name here if you are researching these Owners or Slaves.
  1. me. I am Carole Taylor.
Here are some of the tasks that I think need to be done.
I'll be working on them, and could use your help.
  • Add Profiles to match the Marriage ENTRY
  • Include finding/OR making a Profile for the "Owner" on the ENTRY
  • LINK ALL NAMED PERSONS by adding the image of the ENTRY (see Thomas Hanway Owner of Eliza Hanway-Enlow)
  • add the Profile name/number under the ENTRY NAMES or the OWNER name
  • find/add any other sources, census, births, death, etc.
  • any findagrave headstones if at all possible

Will you join me? Please post a comment here on this page, in G2G using the project tag, or send me a private message. Thanks!

The Owners of Taylor's Mount were Arthur Taylor- then his son-in-law Edward Day-- he died leaving his Widow who remarried Patrick Lynch who also left her Widowed and then Avarilla Taylor-Day Lynch died...4 Feb 1767 still residing on the Plantation.

Their SON John Day Jr lived there the husband of Mary Gouldsmith (Presbury-62) Day — married 30 Nov 1775 they lived there until he Died 1 Oct 1791 Then it appears their son Gouldsmith Day also lived there until his death before 14 Apr 1840... Which is the timeline for our Baptisms.
