About the Project

The Marshall Name Study project serves as a collaborative platform to collect information on the Marshall name. The hope is that other researchers like you will join the study to help make it a valuable reference point for other genealogists who are researching or have an interest in the Marshall name.

As a One Name Study, this project is not limited to persons who are related biologically. Individual studies can be used to branch out the research into specific methods and areas of interest, such as geographically (England Marshall), by time period (18th Century Marshall), or by topic (Marshall DNA, Marshall Occupations, Marshall Statistics). These studies may also include a number of family branches which have no immediate link with each other. Some researchers may even be motivated to go beyond the profile identification and research stage to compile fully sourced, single-family histories of some of the families they discover through this name study project.

Hello I am Havens-451 otherwise known as Joan Strobridge. My grandmother was Anna May Marshall-20817. She was born in Allegany Pa. and died in Cynthiana, Ohio. I am interested in your project although I am fairly new. .You may access my lineage and where do I go fro here? Thanks for consideration.

Hello, my great-great grandmother was Catherine Mary Jane Marshall-13564 Her family lived chiefly in Nottinghamshire (Ollerton area). I am a member of the Guild of One Name Studies.

George Marshall Jr

My name is George Pharris Marshall. I am of Portuguese descent and my father's birth name was Machado; he changed it several times. I do not know if I am really related to any Marshalls or if I'm just an anglicized child of Azorean parents. I was born in San Jose, Ca in 1949. I have one full siblings and 7 half siblings, from my father and 4 different women. All lived in California (Bay area or Fresno area).
