Transcription

Know all men by these presents that I, T. C. Keinard of Lauderdale county and state of Mississippi in consideration of Two Hundred Dollars ($200.00) received from Martha Shumate of the above named state and county do grant bargain and sell and convey unto said Martha Shumate the following described property viz: SW¼ of NW¼ Sec 15, T7 Range 16 east containing Forty acres more or less to have and to hold the above described land with all the appurtenance thereunto belonging unto said Martha Shumate her ehirs and assigns forever, and I the said T. C. Kinard for my self and my heirs executors and administrator do covenant with the said Martha Shumate her heirs and assigns that I am seized in fee of the above described lands and have good rights to sell and convey the same that I am free from all incumbrances and that I will warrant and defend the title of said lands to the Martha Shumate her heirs and assigns forever against all lawful claims whatever. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand & seal this the 18th day of October 1879.

The State of Mississippi, Lauderdale County Personally appeared before me McRae Mosby clerk of the Chancery Court in and for said county the within named T. C. Kinard who acknowledged that he signed sealed delivered the within deed of the day and year therein mentioned as his act and deed of the day and year therein mentioned as his act and deed. Given under my hand and seal this 18th day of October 1879.
