ARRIVED.— On the 25th, the barque Mary, ^[1]
Thomas Hedger, master, from London. Passengers—
Cabin, Mr and Mrs Simpson and 2 children ;
steerage— Mr G. Dixon and wife, Mr Thomas Dixon and child, Mrs Dixon -
53 Parkhurst boys and 21 female emigrants.

The barque Mary, from London 2nd July and Cowes the 6th July, dropped anchor in Gage's Roads yesterday afternoon about three o'clock. So far as we can ascertain she brings 19 passengers, of whom 4 are cabin, and 7 steerage, and the remainder consists of their respective families. She has also brought 21 young women whose passages have been paid by parishes, and 53 Parkhurst lads.
Of course the intelligence of this arrival reached us at so late an hour before publication, that we are unable to give even a condensed account of the intelligence she brings. The following are a few items :—Capt. Hedger reports that no other vessel was laid on for this colony, nor would one leave before Oct. when a vessel belonging to the same owners as the Mary, Messrs. T. and F. Smith would be despatched to this port.

Parkhurst Boys 49: aboard the Mary.

The sentence was for "seven years Transportation", and consequently Milne was transported on 4 July 1849, along with 52 other 'Parkhurst apprentices', to the Swan River Colony in Western Australia aboard the Mary. They arrived on 25 Oct 1849
