Footnotes

  1. A teeny bit later than what is suggested on most sources, mostly suggesting birth year c. 1825-6, but not too far off so I am not concerned and I really believe this is her, especially as the residence listed is the same street she later lived at in adulthood.
  2. Most likely baptisms for her and siblings have father's name as George, not John. Poss. name was transcribed incorrectly on marriage record on FS, but hard to tell as I cannot see original image anywhere (check catalogue? but will probably only be available at an FHC). Also poss. the name was just written wrong in the first place, a simple and not unbelievable accident. Maybe he just went by John rather than George?
  3. Born very soon after their marriage. Mary Ann would've been pregnant at marriage.
  4. Why such fluidity between use of surname Byner/Biner and Bynorth/Binorth/Bynoth/Binoth in this family?, similar but fairly distinct names
