I Mary Ann Alexander of the County of Clinton and State of Ohio do make and publish this my last Will and Testament.
Item 1st It is my will that all my just debts and charges should be paid out of my estate.
Item 2nd I give and bequeath to my children namely Eletta and Elija P. Alexander when they shall become of lawful age the residence of my estate over & above the necessary & contingent expences in caring for and providing for my two children while in their minority
Item 3rd I hereby appoint my friend Daniel Kester my Executor of this my last will and testament and I also appoint my said friend Daniel Kester to be the Guardian of my two children: namely Elletta & Elijah P. Alexander while they are in their minority.

Signed & acknowledged by said Mary Ann Alexander as her last will and Testament in our presence and signed by us in her presence, Dr. C. A. McIlhany, L. Cleland.

State of Ohio Clinton County ss, Probate Court
Personally appeared in open court Cyrus E. Carter Larkin Clelana and C. A. McIlhany the subscribing witnesses to the last Will and testament of Mary Ann Alexander deceased who being duly affirmed according to Law to Speak the truth the whole truth and nothing but the truth in relation to the Execution of said Will depose and say that the paper before them purporting to be the last Will and testament of Mary Ann Alexander now deceased is the Will of said deceased and that said will was executed along about the latter part of June or some time in the month of July AD 1869 that they were present at the execution of said will at the request of the testatrix Subscribed their names to the same as witnesses in her presence and that they saw the said Mary Ann Alexander deceased sign and seal said will and have her acknowledge the same to be her last will and Testament that the said Mary Ann Alexander at the time of making signing and Sealing Said Will was of legal age and of Sound mind and memory and under no undue or unlawful restraint whatsoever.
