Know all men by these presents that I Mary Dade of Union County, Kentucky, do ordain and constitute this my last will and Testament hereby revoking all former Wills. Viz.
I give and bequeath to my sister Elanor Williams all my interest in the lands of my late father Samuel Simmons Deceased.
Item—I hereby authorize and require my Executor hereafter to be named to sell all my personal and perishable property with the exception of one bed, bedstead and grass mortar, which I give to my daughter Elaner Ross and to hire out my two negro women Susan an [sic] Fanny annually and put the money proceeding therefrom together with the sale of personal estate and other money I have to interest and apply the use of said moneys annually to the sole use and benefit of my aforesaid daughter Elanor Ross during her natural life, and her death I give and bequeath to the daughter of my said daughter Eleanor Ross all the aforesaid moneys, and the two negro women Susan & Fanny, and their increase if any to be equally divided among them, And if the negro woman which my said daughter Elanor Ross now has should die during the life of her, my said daughter, then and in that case I require my Executor to suffer her to have the aforesaid Negro woman Susan without hinderance or interruption so that she may not be without a femal [sic] servant
Also I hereby appoint Peter E. Holt my Executor to carry into effect this my last will

Acknowledged as well as signed by directions after having her read in presence of John Holt, John S. Given, W.S. Ross
At a County Court holden for Union County at the Courthouse in Morganfield on the 20th day of February 1837. This last will and testament of Mary Dade Deceased was produced in Court and proven by the oaths of John Holt and John S. Givens, two of the subscribing witnesses thereto, and was by the court ordered to be recorded. Attest James R. Hughes clk
