This is a transcript of a family Bible once owned by Elsie Maud Dewar, from Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, and I believe this Bible was primarily owned by Elsie's grandmother, Mary Hiscox Sneeston Mutch. Mary was born in North River, PEI, on Nov 20, 1824 and she recorded the life events of five generations of children, her siblings, parents, and some other relatives.

The entries seem to have been made at different times, in different inks and handwritings (except for a few of the oldest ones), but you can judge for yourself. The publishing date of the Bible is 1855, and Mary married William in 1854; it's unclear when Mary acquired the Bible but obviously some of these entries were made well after they took place, including the birthdates for Mary herself, her husband William, her brother John, and her son-in-law Robert Dewar.

The Bible passed from Mary Hiscox Sneeston Mutch, to her daughter, Annie Caroline Sneeston, to her daugher, Elsie Maud Dewar, to her daughter, Elsie Glendyre Macdonald, to her daughter (my aunt). It presently sits in New Brunswick, Canada. Any questions can be directed to me, Katherine.
